St.
Petersburg can be found on the west coast of Florida. It is a beautiful coastal
town that has glorious beaches and a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Steven
Gollihugh suggests a few destinations to take in while visiting St. Petersburg.
· The Sunken Gardens. The
Sunken Gardens cover 4 glorious acres in the downtown area. The gardens offer a
wedding venue. The gardens are also home to 50,000 tropical plants and a
butterfly garden.
· Baseball Boulevard. Explore
St. Petersburg's 90-year history with the annual event of spring training.
· Rent a Segway or a Surrey.
What could be more fun than seeing the waterfront while riding on a motorized
Segway, or peddling along in a surrey.
· The Dali Museum. The works
of famed surrealist artist Salvador Dali are on display in a collection that is
the most comprehensive in the world.
· Great Explorations
Children's Museum. Enjoy hands on exhibits that will delight and challenge
children of all ages.
· The Science Center of
Pinellas County. A wonderful collection of animal and marine specimens. The
science center is also home to a planetarium and a laser light show.
· The Central Avenue Antiques
District. Find a treasure among the many unique antique shops.
· Mediterranean Revival
Architecture. Downtown St. Petersburg is home to many examples of Mediterranean
Revival architecture, including at least two dozen homes listed on the National
Historic Register.
Steven

numerous to mention. St. Petersburg has wonderful beaches where you can enjoy
swimming, sailing, diving, and fishing. There is always something fun and
