Steven
Gollihugh joined the MSTA (Motorcycle Sport Touring Association) two years ago.
It is hard for Steven Gollihugh to remember what he did for fun before he joined.
He is extremely impressed with the sense of freedom that motorcycle riding
gives him. Steven Gollihugh would like to encourage anyone who has ever
considered riding a motorcycle to give it a try.
1.
A sense of freedom. Riding a motorcycle is a great way to feel alive. It is
just you, your bike, and the road ahead of you.
2.
You get to have a feeling of adventure. Going for a motorcycle ride is
different than driving in a regular vehicle. A motorcycle is associated with
danger and things a little on the wild side. Be safe while driving and enjoy
the "wild" ride.
3.
Taking a trip is more fun on a motorcycle. Part of the fun is getting there
when you are riding a motorcycle. Motorcycle clubs like the MSTA organize
rallies where you can ride with your friends.
4.
You can develop a sense of camaraderie. Riding with a group like the MSTA
offers a sense of belonging. Many lifelong friendships begin on a road rally.
The fellowship that motorcycle riders enjoy is unique.
5.
Riding a motorcycle is a great way to meet new people. There are very few
stereotypes that are true about motorcycle riders. Motorcycle riders come from
all age demographics and all walks of life. Motorcycle riders have a natural
affinity for one another and are always ready to look out for a fellow biker.
6.
You will get to be closer to nature. Riding a motorcycle with a group like the
MSTA affords you the opportunity to see some of the country's most scenic
roads. Routes for rallies are selected based on their scenic beauty.
7.
Riding a motorcycle can save you money on gas. Motorcycles are more cost
effective than a traditional vehicle. Saving money is always a good thing.
